holy hottie apartment

by brielle

...thus far. my family and friends have been asking for pictures of hha so i decided to reach the masses and show you all the process we've made.

here are some of alissa, lauren and i's touches we've put on our new home.

our living room: all inclusive with our soho street art of our favorite nyc buildings, shaggy rug that even though it resembles grass we still love, and random pillows we've collected

why yes, this is the lovely vanity lauren put together. isn't is beautiful?

hooks from urban outfitters that wonderfully display my necklaces (and most importantly keep them untangled)

our window display that is perfect for showcasing my favorite anthropologie cups and mail/recipe book holder

a vintage mirror collection is the perfect way to lighten up a room with no windows

lauren has perfectly given life to her girly room with flags she found in london

girlie touches to the bathroom are vital

and here lies the three stooges the three best friends

home sweet home at last

Thursday

girls do manual labor too

by brielle

in order for us to make holy hottie apartment look up to par with all of your expectations, there was a little bit of work that had to be done.
ok.. a lot of work.

so here's just a small glimpse of some of it.

i rewired our tv cables to the other side of the wall

lauren put together an extremely complex ikea vanity

and alissa... opened wine

it's really hard to say who's the most skilled out of the three.

and the answer to your question is yes, we're all wearing hot pink shorts. alissa and lauren always made fun of me for mine so i decided to get them their own.

i'm sure you'll be able to tell that we don't take them off.

next step is painting and then holy hottie apartment will be complete! for now at least.

Wednesday

back to school

by alissa, brielle and lauren

summer, where did you go?

as our last summer hoorah we went out to lunch in between classes, treated by brielle's mom since it was her last day. thanks, mom! this post is dedicated to you and all of your hard work you've done this past week. oh, and for saving our lives from that lady, irene. we all love you!

i hope that you all have mom's as wonderful as mine, and if you don't feel free to borrow her. she's great for manual labor. -brielle

Monday

that irene sure knows how to make an exit

by brielle

as lauren and i were driving back from our weekend adventure (er, evacuation) in connecticut, we couldn't help but marvel at the sky. sure, irene did some pretty ugly damage but on her way out she left us with a beautiful evening.

and incase you were curious as to how we passed the time, see below:

we hope everyone stayed safe over the weekend and has a wonderful week!

Saturday

the end of the beginning

by alissa and brielle

today marked a sad but nevertheless monumental day. alissa was "the first to go" out of the two of us. yesterday we packed and packed and packed and packed etc.

alissa was by far the largest thing i had to ship to texas...

last night after seeing and being carded for bridesmaides (super funny, go see it if you're 17+) we went home and decided to create the ultimate sleepover for our last night in 13F
we pushed our beds together! (our sincerest apologies to 12F)

after loading everything up, this is what our lovely little room looked like.
it's hard to believe this once looked like this

so we'll leave you for the summer with a letter to the greatest place on earth:

Dear 13F,
You have given us shelter, memories, laughter and most importantly a life long friendship. We will miss your dusty corners, unknown noises at 3am coming from the fridge and periodically clogged drain. Here is where a girl from texas (with no accent, much to alissa's dismay) and a girl from long island met and bonded. Your bathroom is where one of us would change and the other would be in the kitchen with virtually the same outfit on. Above all the view out your window will never be forgotten. Being able to say goodnight to the empire state building every day was truly a blessing and will be truly missed. We hope your next friends are wonderful and we're positive you'll make them feel right at home.

Missing you already.

Love,
Alissa and Brielle.

until next semester sweet blog!
